Help Us Build the New Masjid and Support Da’wah

WE NEED FUNDING FOR BUILDING THE NEW MASJID FOUNDATION

In 2015, Indonesian muslim community in Houston bought 5.5 acres of land with existing small church and house (built in the 1960s). These buildings were subsequently renovated and converted into a masjid and community center.

To fulfill the needs of our growing community, we are in needs of a new masjid..

Why Give Donation to Masjid Istiqlal

Istiqlal is registered as a 501(c) non-profit organization in the state of Texas. It aims to propagate Islamic da’wah through activities and lectures, and to give a safe, friendly and inclusive environment for muslims to socialize.
Istiqlal supports the growth of faith in youth, children, and mualaf through hands-on activities and classes, for instance: through outdoor cookout activities, gardening, camping, dan field trips
Istiqlal strives to bring both muslims and non-muslims to visit the masjid and fulfill the needs of the community through its variety of programs which encompasses religious, educational, social, and volunteering aspects.
Istiqlal provides greenery and plenty of outdoor space to socialize, gather, and enjoy food. It also acts as an alternative place for conducting lectures/circles. This masjid also tries to reduce the use of plastics and encourage the use of non-disposable/recyclable items.

About Masjid Istiqlal Houston Campus

IAMC (the management of Masjid Istiqlal) is registered as a non-profit organization and currently serves around 600 jamaah.

The Scope of Masjid Istiqlal Development Project:

The new masjid.
Status: Foundation work is expected to commence at the end of 2022.

Status: conversion and renovation are done. When the new masjid is built, the existing masjid will be used as an all-purpose hall.
