SUPPORT US TO BUILD OUR MASJID FOUNDATION

Alhamdulillah, since our beginnings in 2015, we have seen our community continue to grow and many jama’ah come to our programs.

To fulfill the needs of our community, we are working on building a new masjid on our property.

Our masjid relies on your support to cover our operational and construction cost. Your donation is a trust from you to us that we will protect and implement with our utmost efforts.

Why Should I Become a Sustainer?

  • Istiqlal is registered as a 501(c) non-profit organization in the state of Texas. It aims to propagate Islamic da’wah through activities and lectures, and to give a safe, friendly and inclusive environment for muslims to socialize.

  • Istiqlal supports the growth of faith in youth, children, and mualaf through hands-on activities and classes, for instance: through outdoor cookout activities, gardening, camping, dan field trips

  • Istiqlal strives to bring both muslims and non-muslims to visit the masjid and fulfill the needs of the community through its variety of programs which encompasses religious, educational, social, and volunteering aspects.

  • Istiqlal provides greenery and plenty of outdoor space to socialize, gather, and enjoy food. It also acts as an alternative place for conducting lectures/circles. This masjid also tries to reduce the use of plastics and encourage the use of non-disposable/recyclable items.

1. Is it safe to use paypal and Istiqlal web app to pay online ?

Yes. Both Paypal and Istiqlal web app use the end-to-end encryption and industry-standard SSL technology for security.

2. Can I stop the recurrent donation ?

To opt out of recurring donations, refer to the following steps.

  1. Go to the more section in your Istiqlal App.

  2. Click on the Payment History icon and find Scheduled Recurring Payments.

  3. Inside the payment details, there will be a Cancel Recurring option at the bottom of the page.

3. Is the donation zakah-eligible and tax-exempt ?

Yes. IAMC is a non-profit organization (501c) with tax-exempt status from the IRS. Masjid Istiqlal is established in a Muslim-minority country and is therefore eligible for zakatul mal under the definition of ‘fi-sabilillah’ (for the cause of Allah) which includes da’wah activities.
